16: 🎭 How to seem interesting even if you’re boring

April 23, 2019

People are similar in more ways than we’re different.

And at the very core of our similarities is our concern about and focus on status. That is, our role and level of power, from moment to moment, in whatever situation we’re in with whoever in it with.

With your friends, your colleagues, your family… the more status we have in any network of people, the better.

Most of our decisions are based on this very question:  If I do this, will it increase or decrease my status?

So then, we can take advantage of this core instinct by giving people the tools to easily signal their status through their association with us – and our products & services.

And that’s what I talk about in this short episode, it was inspired by a study that was done with the most famous painting in the world. The results are comical.

I got a lot of these ideas from Elephant in the Brain.

BRUH. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I hate popups. Don’t you? What kind of a dickhead does that?

But I have something I think you’ll dig. I figure if I give you some really good free shit and you get some results, you’re more likely to want to buy something from me.

And just a warning…
